Produce from horticulture have not only been used for income earning but also supplement household nutrition needs including addressing the micronutrient deficiency that cause statin which has become serious in recent years in Tanzania and Iringa in particular.

Education Support Project

With an unwavering commitment to ensuring equitable access to quality basic education, AITA forged a transformative partnership with the Kibaha Tumbi Catholic Parish, under the esteemed Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam, to secure critical resources for the Education Support Project.

This impactful initiative was designed to significantly enhance the school learning environment by installing solar energy systems to power school facilities, thereby ensuring a reliable and sustainable energy source. Additionally, the project provided vital support to 116 of the most vulnerable schoolchildren, guaranteeing their access to essential scholastic materials and promoting equal educational opportunities.

Generously funded by Missio, this remarkable initiative successfully ran from June 2022 to June 2023, leaving a lasting positive impact on both the students and the broader educational community.

Help, Empower, and Learn Project (HELP)

This transformative initiative is dedicated to empowering youth through comprehensive life skills education, advancing women’s economic independence, and addressing both the prevention of and response to gender-based violence. By placing a strong emphasis on capacity building, the program equips participants with essential entrepreneurial and marketing skills, enabling them to enhance productivity and capitalize on business opportunities effectively.

Fueled by a strategic partnership with the Daughters of Mary Immaculate (DMI) and the generous contributions of AITA’s organizational board, this project serves as a catalyst for sustainable change. Its impact resonates profoundly within the Ubungo Municipality and Kibaha Town Council, where it fosters resilience, drives community development, and promotes lasting socio-economic progress. Through this collaborative effort, the initiative continues to inspire hope and build a brighter future for all.

Empowering Women Through Resource Coordination and Savings and Lending Activities

At AITA, we are unwavering in our mission to empower women by providing them with practical skills in resource coordination and fostering financial independence through innovative savings and lending initiatives. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to build a solid foundation for women to thrive both as individuals and as influential community leaders.

By equipping women with the knowledge and tools to manage resources efficiently and collectively, we are not only fueling entrepreneurial growth but also igniting grassroots socio-economic transformation that begins from within and radiates outward. We go beyond financial literacy by cultivating leadership and confidence, enabling women to take their rightful place in key decision-making roles.

Through structured group savings systems, microloan opportunities, and dynamic peer support networks, women gain access to capital, mentorship, and collaborative learning. These initiatives have already transformed lives—women who once lacked opportunity are now running successful businesses, educating their children, and driving meaningful change in their communities.

At AITA, every woman we empower becomes a catalyst for dignity, resilience, and long-term progress, creating ripples of impact that uplift entire societies.
